Can we book as a group?

For sites with shared apartments you can reserve an apartment for you and your friends via our online booking system. One member of the group needs to register online and ‘create a group booking’ giving it a NAME and LOG IN, complete their personal details and pay their booking fee. Once this is complete the rest of the group need to register and select ‘join a group booking’ entering the details the group creator entered. Please note that all members of the group have 24 hours to register, join the group and pay their deposits before the room is released.

How can I pay my rent?

Rent can be paid in one instalment in August or in three instalments in August, January and April. This can be paid online by logging in to your account or it can be paid in person at reception. We accept payment by cheque, debit card, credit card (2% surcharge) or by bank transfer (your bank may charge you for this service).

Is there a charge for using a Debit Card or Credit Card?

We do not charge tenants for payments using a UK or EU Debit Card. If you pay using a Credit Card or a non-EU Debit Card there will be a 2% charge on the total amount being paid.

Are my possessions insured?

Free contents insurance is provided by Endsleigh.

Can I get Internet?

Yes, Internet is included in your rent or charges.

How much will the Utility Bills cost?

Utility bills (i.e. electricity and water) are included in your rent, except in Bangor where they are charged separately.

What is a Guarantor?

A guarantor is a person that you nominate who will guarantee that your rent will be paid if you are unable to pay it yourself. If you fail to pay your rent yourself on time, it then falls to the Guarantor to pay your rent.

Can I have friends to stay over?

You may have occasional overnight guests. Please do not invite someone to stay for more than two consecutive nights and always consult with your flatmates first.

Can I move out before my tenancy ends?

As a tenant on a fixed term assured short hold tenancy you do not have a right to end your tenancy early. Fresh can seek repossession of your accommodation if you fail to pay your rent or breech the terms of your tenancy agreement.

Can I move in early?

We will try and accommodate requests for early arrivals when possible. Please call your chosen accommodation to check the availability.

Will my room be cleaned?

Your accommodation is cleaned for your arrival. Once you have moved in you will be responsible for cleaning your room and any shared areas within the apartment.

Are there laundry facilities on site?

There is an on-site laundry for you to use at an additional charge.

Can I smoke?

All Fresh Student Living accommodation is smoke free. This includes both private and communal areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and all internal social spaces.

Can I bring my car?

All our accommodation is located centrally, close to good public transport links and facilities.

A small number of our sites have some limited parking spaces available at an additional charge. Please contact the accommodation manager at your chosen location for more details.

Will my room be inspected by the Management?

We will undertake full room and apartment inspections at least three times during your tenancy period. We check for cleanliness, damage and for missing items.

At each inspection you will be told if there is to be a charge for putting right anything. You will be invoiced immediately for recharges for the first two inspections and on the final inspection a deduction will be made from your deposit.
